February - I am very pleased to be a council member of the Royal Society of Portrait Painters, the Annual show will be at the Mall Galleries in early May, I will be exhibiting three works in the show.One will be a portrait of Madeleine my youngest daughter. February seems to be a busy time my Life drawing classes at Newlyn Art School has resumed on a Thursday Night after the Christmas Break. I am currently working on portrait commissions and have started a series of works on paper and limited edition prints for “Open studios” . I have almost completed the large work based on Newlyn Harbour.Visitors to the studio over the last 2 years will have seen the painting -starting with pencil drawings, studies and small works.This work has dominated the studio and I feel it will seem very empty when it has gone.
