Childrens Hospice South West -JOGLE
Between the 2nd -9th July 2011 myself and three friends will be cycling from John O’Groats and Lands End to raise funds for the Childrens Hospice South West,we are trying to raise as much money as possible,so thank you to everyone who has sponsored me so far.Anyone who wishes to sponsor more than £10 will be entitled to answer the following question “what is the distance between John O’Groats and Lands End?”
A- 200 Miles ,
B-874 Miles,
C-10,000 Miles .
Correct answers will be placed into the draw.Tickets are avaliable from Stonemans Gallery ,Chapel Street Penzance,Mounts Bay Wine Shop in Bread Street, Penzance or at Jason’s “Open Studio’s” 28th-6th June at Trewarveneth Studios ,Trewarveneth Street, Newlyn Penzance,TR18 5JQ.

Mr Jason Walker is seeking sponsorship for cycling between John O’Groats and Lands End. All sponsorship received will be donated by Mr Walker in full to the Children’s Hospice South West. Any person who sponsors a minimum of £10 will be given the opportunity to enter into a prize promotion (the Prize Promotion) organised by Mr Walker for the chance to win a portrait painting by him, as detailed below. By entering the Prize Promotion, each participant will be deemed to accept and agree to be bound by the following terms and conditions with Mr Walker:
1. There will be one winner of the Prize Promotion who will receive a signed portrait of oil on canvass approx. 8x10 inches painted by Mr Walker (the Prize).
2. The Prize Promotion is open to all UK residents aged 18 years except anyone who may be involved or connected with the Prize Promotion. Any entries submitted by agents or third parties will be invalid and will not be accepted by Mr Walker.
3. You may enter the Prize Promotion by sponsoring Mr Walker at least £10 and submitting your answer to the question found at http://www.jason-walker.co.uk by visiting The Stoneman Gallery, Chapel Street Penzance,Mounts Bay Wine in Bread Street Penzance, or during “Open Studio’s” 28th-6th June at Trewarveneth Studios ,Trewarveneth Street, Newlyn Penzance,TR18 5JQ in person and completing the form available then posting it in the drop-box provided. Entry to the Prize Promotion is limited to one per person.
4. The Prize Promotion closing date is 2th July2011 (the Closing Date) and any entries received after the Closing Date will not be accepted by Mr Walker. Submission of entries will not constitute proof of receipt and no responsibility will be accepted by Mr Walker for entries he does not receive. Mr Walker shall not be liable for any loss or corruption of data in transit. No responsibility will be accepted for entries or acceptances which are lost, delayed or damaged in the post or elsewhere. Illegible, incomplete, late or defaced entries will be disqualified and not entered into the prize draw.
5. All correct entries will be entered into a prize draw and the winner will be drawn at random and notified by email or telephone by 12th July 2011. If you are notified of the winning entry and you do not reply to confirm acceptance within 48 hours of being notified, Mr Walker may offer the Prize to another participant.
6. The name of the winner will be displayed on Mr Walker’s website at http://www.jason-walker.co.uk after 9th July and can be obtained by sending a SAE to Mr Walker. If the winner is not able for whatever reason to accept the Prize, then Mr Walker reserves the right to award the Prize to another participant.
7. Due to the nature of the Prize the winner must attend at their own expense at least two sittings on separate occasions with Mr Walker at his Studio at Trewarveneth Studios ,Trewarveneth Street, Newlyn Penzance,TR18 5JQ or, with Mr Walker’s consent, an alternative location agreed by him. Each sitting will last a minimum of two hours. The arrangements for each sitting are to be agreed by Mr Walker and his decision will be final, acting reasonably. If the winner fails to attend any of the arranged sittings then Mr Walker may refuse to complete the Prize unless an alternative sitting is arranged by agreement with Mr Walker within 6 weeks.
8. The Prize is non-transferable. The Prize must be taken as offered. No cash equivalent or other alternative prize(s) are available in whole or in part
9. Mr Walker reserves the right to withdraw or amend the Prize Promotion as necessary due to circumstances outside his control.
10. The winner agrees to participate in any publicity or other such promotional activities which Mr Walker may reasonably require in connection with the Prize Promotion and Mr Walker shall have the right to use the winner’s name, likeness, image and biographical information for advertising and promotional purposes in connection with the Prize Promotion in all media without further notice and without the need to make any payment to the winner for such use.
11. The winner allows Mr Walker to display any image or copy of the Prize in his Gallery, portfolios, online portfolios/galleries, literature, exhibitions and advertising.
12. All copyright in the Prize will be retained and owned absolutely by Mr Walker within the provisions of the Copyright, Design and Patents Act 1988 (the Act). It is contrary to the Act to copy or allow to be copied photographically, electronically or by any other means any image connected with the Prize without the express permission of Mr Walker.
13. Mr Walker shall be granted complete artistic licence in relation to the Prize and his judgement will be final.
14. Mr Walker shall not be liable to any participant and/or the winner for any losses howsoever arising under the Prize Promotion, including for any indirect or consequential losses.
15. English law shall apply to these terms and conditions and the parties agree that any dispute shall be resolved by the Courts of England and Wales.
